TERRY SPOLETI
Terry Spoleti, a
principal and founding member of Glenridge HealthCare Solutions,
has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. She directs
significant planning and implementation projects, with a
particular focus on managed care programs, Medicare products,
large-scale medical management program development, managed care
contracting and risk management initiatives. Clients benefit
from her broad range of operating experience in managed care
program development and implementation including contracting;
physician and hospital partnerships; technical aspects of
network development and administration; and financial modeling
of payment and reimbursement methodologies. Prior to forming
Glenridge, Ms. Spoleti was Senior Vice President of Managed Care
Products and Services at a $150 Million Medicare and commercial
risk contractor, where she directed the company’s payer
contracting, network development and managed care product
development initiatives. Under Ms. Spoleti’s leadership, the
company built one of the largest physician-driven, full-service
provider networks in the region. Ms. Spoleti has also served as
Executive Director of Physician Alliances for a regional medical
center, with responsibility for implementing the hospital’s
managed care strategy and building an integrated provider
network. During that time, she established one of the first
Management Services Organizations (MSO) in the region; created
and managed a 125-physician primary care IPA; assisted in the
acquisition and management of primary care practices; developed
a PHO and implemented its first full risk contracts; and
represented the institution in negotiation and implementation of
a statewide hospital / PHO alliance. Before joining the medical
center, Ms. Spoleti was a healthcare management consultant with
KPMG Peat Marwick in New York City, and was an independent
consultant in the Baltimore-Washington area, primarily serving
the financial and managed care needs of physicians, hospital
systems and faculty practice clients.
MIKE CIMEROLA
Mike Cimerola, a
principal and founding member of Glenridge, has more than 20
years of healthcare management, consulting and business
experience. He specializes in developing and implementing
strategic initiatives focusing on hospital-physician
partnerships, managed care programs and physician practice
development and practice automation. Mr. Cimerola also has
extensive operating and management experience in management
services organization (MSO), managed care and hospital-based
financial and clinical operations. He has directed the
selection and implementation of practice management systems,
electronic medical records systems and hospital financial and
clinical information systems. Prior to founding Glenridge, Mr.
Cimerola was Vice President of Network Development at the
largest physician owned delivery system in the Mid-Atlantic
area. Using innovative economic modeling methods, he developed a
large network of primary care and specialty physicians and
negotiated provider contracts for all health services. His
efforts resulted in one of the largest provider networks in the
Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Cimerola also spent twelve years in
health system development and operations. As Vice President of
Financial Administrative Services at an urban teaching hospital,
his responsibilities included managing the health system’s
financial and administrative operations. In addition, he
established and managed the physician-hospital MSO and oversaw
the selection and implementation of both the hospital and MSO
financial and administrative information systems. He developed
a number of innovative programs focusing on creating market
share, reducing health system costs and building cash reserves
for the hospital and its subsidiaries. Mr. Cimerola has been a
senior healthcare management consultant with Coopers and
Lybrand, in Washington, D.C. and a principal in a regional
healthcare consulting firm serving the financial, information
systems and operations improvement needs of physician groups and
hospitals.
DAVID PAVLIK
Mr. Pavlik, Vice
President, has fifteen years of managed care and information
systems experience. His expertise includes managed care program
implementation, health plan and provider practice management
information systems design and implementation, provider
relations and customer service, project management and provider
network development. His primary focus includes systems
configuration and integration, development of database and
web-enabled data management tools, and large scale project
management. He is responsible for the development of Glenridge
proprietary network development application, Webtrack, and
serves as Data Manager on large scale network development
initiatives in which Webtrack is used as the project platform.
Mr. Pavlik develops technology tools and operational processes
to assure project goals are met, efficiencies are achieved,
personnel and systems are integrated, and project data is
accessible throughout the course of the engagement.
Prior to joining
Glenridge, Mr. Pavlik was Manager of Provider Relations and
Information Systems for a regional provider-sponsored Managed
Care Organization. In this role he developed and managed a
fully functional, multi-site provider relations unit responsible
for network development and the full range of provider
services. Additionally, Mr. Pavlik played in integral role in
the configuration, development and implementation of the MCO’s
information systems. As Senior Consultant and Project Manager,
Mr. Pavlik works with clients on a broad array of development
and operational engagements. He is the account manager for a
long term engagement in which Glenridge provides ongoing
staffing, data management and project management services for a
large regional insurer in support of their geographic and
product expansion. Additionally, Mr. Pavlik’s expertise in
provider reimbursement methodologies, contract analysis and
negotiation, and payor systems and processes assures that payor
and provider clients realize value from the agreements procured
by Glenridge.
NANCY FISHER
Ms Fisher, a
Senior Consultant with Glenridge, has over 30 years of planning
and operations management in multiple health care settings, and
particular expertise in managed care contracting for commercial
and public sector programs. As Vice President of Managed Care
for a national corporation of Continuing Care Retirement
Communities, Ms. Fisher led the organization through development
and CMS approval of an unsolicited Demonstration Project that
established a proprietary Medicare HMO for the residents of the
CCRC communities. As the managed care executive of the
organization, Ms. Fisher provided management and oversight for
the organizations’ extensive healthcare services and led the
development of the care management model for the enterprise.
Prior to her appointment as vice president, Ms Fisher served as
Senior Director of Health Services for the organization with
management responsibility for the physician practices, skilled
nursing facilities, rehabilitation agencies and home health
agencies owned and operated by the CCRCs. Prior to her position
in the senior living organization, Ms. Fisher was Senior Vice
President of Operations for the physician practice management
services organization and managed care contracting division of a
multi-hospital health system in Maryland/D.C.. In that role she
designed and managed organization and infrastructure to provide
practice management and care management (case management,
utilization review, QA, risk management) of a medical group of
170 predominantly primary care providers in 35 offices, 700 IPA
physicians and 80,000 full-risk lives. Ms Fisher also spent 15
years in various management positions at Kaiser Permanente.
ELLEN BROWN
Ms. Brown, a Consultant with
Glenridge, has 10 years of healthcare experience, having worked
in payer and large provider organizations in numerous
capacities, including strategic planner, senior analyst, program
manager, and insurance product development. Prior to joining
Glenridge, Ms. Brown was Director of Strategic Planning and
Analysis for BlueCross BlueShield of Maryland. In her role, she
developed the three year corporate strategic plan and the annual
business plan. Working directly for the executive team and
Board of Directors, she created real-time tracking and
monitoring tools for management to observe corporate results and
competitive updates. Prior to her Strategic Planning Role, Ms.
Brown held a variety of positions in the industry. As Director
of Marketing & Product Development, she launched multiple
products and managed diverse product lines; as a Senior
Financial Analyst, she created fee schedules and physician
incentive programs; as an Actuarial Analyst, she priced the
entire HMO product line; as an Underwriter, she managed a large
book of business. Ms. Brown leads managed care engagements that
include network development, provider relations, financial
analysis and managed care strategic plans for healthplan and
health system clients.
COLLEEN O'TOOLE
Ms. O’Toole has
twenty years of healthcare experience, with particular expertise
in physician practice management, financial operations and
strategic planning; managed care contracting, physician
compensation methodologies; provider network development;
project management.
As a Senior
Consultant and Project Manager. Ms. O’Toole has managed large
provider network development engagements for national healthplan,
responsible for timely delivery of comprehensive provider
network for healthplan’s product and market. Ms. O’Toole
conducted a needs analysis, competitor analysis and fee schedule
review and developed a targeted provider recruitment plan to
meet the healthplan’s needs in the market. Ms. O’Toole also
works extensively with hospitals and large physician group
practices on financial management, revenue enhancement and
practice expansion initiatives. She is currently engaged by a
regional health system as Interim CFO of their multi-specialty
group practices, responsible for management of all financial
aspects of the practice including financial reporting, cash
management, debt restructuring and day to day financial
operations and integrating financial and administrative systems
into the larger health system.
Prior to joining
Glenridge, Ms. O’Toole was Chief Business Officer for large
physician group owned by regional Health System and during that
time she merged multiple physician practices into single group
entity with over 130 primary care providers and 30 locations,
consolidated locations and improved efficiencies in revenue
cycle management and centralized administration. Both then and
in her current engagements, Ms. O’Toole develops collaborative
ventures with Physicians and Health System in developing
clinical programs and innovative physician compensation models.
TIMOTHY LYNCH
Mr. Lynch is a
Glenridge Consultant with particular expertise in provider
network development; physician practice management operations
and information systems; electronic medical records systems
implementation; and A/R management and cash acceleration
initiatives for healthcare provider organizations.
Mr. Lynch’s ten years of healthcare experience
includes numerous managed care and practice management
engagements, particularly provider network development,
physician practice management and information systems
technologies. Mr. Lynch has been involved all aspects of
provider network development, including geo-access and gap
analysis, competitor analysis, fee schedule review, provider
recruitment and network status reporting. His experience
includes large and small scale payer engagements designed to
build and/or enhance payers’ networks of physician, ancillary
and dental providers. In network development engagements, Mr.
Lynch works with the healthplan management to analyze contract
terms, fee schedules, documentation and data reporting
requirements. He uses Glenridge and client systems to develop
project reporting and tracking routines and customize databases,
reports, contracting and provider relations materials and staff
training manuals. Additionally, Mr. Lynch has experience
working in physician practices, both as a practice manager and
as a consultant assisting with the implementation of practice
management information systems, electronic medical records
systems and receivables management engagements. His familiarity
with the providers’ operations, systems and revenue cycle
management issues make him uniquely qualified and highly
credible in network development / physician recruiting
engagements.
PATRICK O’BOYLE
Senior
Consultant, has extensive experience in physician practice
management, accounts receivable management for physicians and
hospitals, as well as payer claims processing systems. His
expertise includes commercial, Medicaid and Medicare payment
systems, health plan adjudication systems and provider based
billing systems. Mr. O’Boyle has worked closely with EDI
billing requirements for government and commercial payers. He
has also participated in the design and acceptance testing of
claims adjudication and provider billing system solutions.
TURNER TRIPPE
Senior Consultant
with particular expertise in payer and provider information
systems and project management. Mr. Trippe is an experienced
project manager having worked on numerous implementation
projects for large health systems, physician practices and
managed care organizations. He has led several payer
engagements related to claims payment reviews and redesign of
adjudication systems and processes. Mr. Trippe also has worked
with payer’s system administrative tables to improve claims
processing accuracy and efficiency. Mr. Trippe has extensive
experience in designing, testing, documenting and auditing
information technology solutions for payers and providers.
